A man found in the middle of a road early Monday in Scottsbluff appears to have died as a result of a crash, police said.
Scottsbluff police said it appears 49-year-old Shawn O'Donahue of Gering missed a turn as he drove north on 2 Avenue and his car landed in a retention pond. Police said O'Donahue left the scene of the accident, then collapsed on the roadway.
A jogger found O'Donahue's body early Monday.
