Networking event for service groups

Are you a program director of a nonprofit agency that serves women?

Then consider attending the free Talk of the Town networking event hosted by the Women's Fund of Greater Omaha.

Participants will have an opportunity to meet their colleagues and learn about services other organizations provide.

Dr. Virginia Aita of the University of Nebraska Medical Center will talk about the effect of music on people's lives.

Talk of the Town will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Dec. 2 at House of Hope Alzheimer's Care, 4801 N. 52nd St.

Registration is required because space is limited. To sign up, go to www.omahawomensfund.org or call 827-9280.

A day for dressing up at children's museum

Here's a way to get a second use out of some Halloween costumes.

The Omaha Children's Museum, 500 S. 20th St., will have Fairytale Dress-Up Day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.

Children's costumes are encouraged. The kids can make Fairydust Crafts and see the Paper Bag Princess Puppet Show.
