Omaha scouting report: The 15-2 Lancers wrap up the second month of the season with an all-Iowa trio of games, starting with their third game of the season against Waterloo. They then hit the road for their first trip of the season to Des Moines and the first meeting of the season against Cedar Rapids. ... Omaha features two of the USHL's top three scorers: Matt White (29 points) and Erik Haula (25). Only Chicago forward Mark Anthonie, with 13, has more goals than White's 11. ... Defenseman Joe Lavin is the league's second-leading scorer with 14 points, while Dennis Brown is tied for fifth with 11. ... After giving up just one goal to both Des Moines and Sioux Falls last week, Omaha goaltender Jeff Teglia is now third in the league in goals-against average (1.92), and his save percentage of .930 is just .001 behind league leader Cab Morris of Indiana, who has played five fewer games and faced 142 fewer shots (330-188) than Teglia.

Waterloo scouting report: While Teglia has shined in net, the 5-9 Black Hawks are struggling with averages of 4.27 goals-against and .873 on saves. ... Omaha already owns two victories over Waterloo. ... Forward Tyler Barnes is the Black Hawks' leading scorer, tied for 10th in the league with 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists).

Des Moines scouting report: Forward T.J. Tynan is tied with White for the league lead in points with eight goals and 21 assists. ... This is the second year in a row the teams have met on Thanksgiving Day. ... Omaha and Des Moines played Friday at the Civic, with the Lancers getting goals from five players in a 5-1 victory. ... The 7-10-1 Buccaneers and Sioux City are tied for fifth in the West Division with 15 points, just one behind Tri-City and three back of third place Fargo.

Cedar Rapids scouting report: The 9-6-1 Roughriders are tied for third with Indiana in the East Division after losing last week to Indiana and Sioux City. ... Troy Grosenick was the USHL goaltender of the week two weeks ago after making 30 saves and four more stops in a shootout victory at Sioux Falls before shutting out Tri-City at home the following night.

Lancer honored: Omaha defenseman C.J. Ludwig has been named the United States Hockey League's defensive player of the week. Ludwig had two goals, one assist and a plus-4 rating to help Omaha improve to 15-2 with victories over Des Moines and Sioux Falls.
