Lincoln man gets probation

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

LINCOLN — A Lincoln man who turned himself in for the attempted sexual assault of a girl that occurred more than eight years ago has been sentenced to two years of probation.

In September, 30-year-old Joshua Louderback pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of attempted third-degree sexual assault of a child.

Police said the case involved a 4-year-old girl in 2000 or 2001.

The charge carries a maximum penalty of a year in jail.

Louderback told Lancaster County District Judge Steven Burns that he didn’t want to be the type of person he used to be and has focused on rehabilitation.

He is on federal supervised release for possessing child pornography. The state-ordered probation will begin when he has completed the federal supervision.
