OPS forum explains assignment plan
The Omaha Public Schools' new student assignment plan will be explained at a series of public forums. Questions will be answered.
The forums will begin at 6:30 p.m. The schedule:
Tuesday at South High School, 4519 S. 24th St.
Dec. 3 at Northwest High, 8204 Crown Point Ave.
Dec. 8 at North High, 4410 N. 36th St.
Dec. 10 at Burke High, 12200 Burke Blvd.
Sign-up event set in Wymore
The Wymore Area Community Coffee will be from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday at the Wymore Community Center.
The event will be during the sign-up for the Wymore Treasure Hunt. The coffee is sponsored by the Southern Gage Community Pride Group.
Bellevue to honor Woman of the Year
Bellevue's Woman of the Year will be honored at Tuesday's Women in Leadership wine and cheese reception.
Reservations are due by Monday by calling 898-3000. Tickets cost $10 for Bellevue Chamber of Commerce members and $15 for nonmembers.
The 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. reception will be at the Durham Student Center on the Bellevue University campus.
