Santa photos to benefit Goodfellows

Once again this Christmas season, Rockbrook Camera is offering a promotion to benefit The World-Herald’s Goodfellows charity.

The store at 168th Street and West Center Road will be offering photos with Santa in December. The sitting is free with a $10 donation to Goodfellows.

Professional photos will be taken Tuesday, Saturday and Dec. 9.

Chuck Fortina, one of the owners of the family business that operates two stores in Omaha and one in Lincoln, said the Santa photos began in the 1990s. He said several charities, including Goodfellows, have been beneficiaries of the promotion over the years.

UNO’s international enrollment rated 33rd

The University of Nebraska at Omaha ranked 33rd in a recent report on the number of international students enrolled at U.S. colleges.

The rankings of the top 40 schools come from the Institute of International Education’s Report on International Education Exchange.

UNO was the only Nebraska college to make the list, with 739 international students. This was the sixth consecutive year the school was ranked. — AP
