The Child Saving Institute board of directors presented awards to seven individuals or groups in recognition of service to Omaha's youths.
More than 100 honorees and guests attended the board's Nov. 5 annual luncheon at Happy Hollow Country Club. Shireen Deeds, board chairwoman, and Peg Harriott, president and CEO, presided over the meeting.
The awards presented:
Countryside Community Church, the William T. Gibble Award
Kim Locatis, Volunteer of the Year
Lisa Blunt, Guardian Angel Award
Mark Brasee and Dr. Tom Huerter and his staff, Ambassador Awards
Meyers Carlisle Leapley, Corporate Award
Building Bright Futures, A.W. Clark Founder's Award
In addition, a special award was presented to artist Becki Shetterly, and service awards were presented to six staff members and two board members.
