Nebraska will hold Top 25 rankings in both major polls for the Big 12 championship game Saturday night.
The Huskers, absent from the Associated Press ratings since Oct. 18, returned at No. 21 on Sunday. Nebraska won its last five regular-season games to reach 9-3 overall and 6-2 in the Big 12.
NU also improved from No. 23 to No. 20 in the USA Today coaches poll.
Texas (12-0) will be ranked No. 2 by USA Today and No. 3 by AP when it meets Nebraska in a 7 p.m. game at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. NU hasn’t faced a team ranked that high since losing 49-31 to No. 1 Southern Cal in 2007.
