Four face fatal crash charges

MAXWELL, Neb. (AP) -- Authorities in western Nebraska say four people face charges in the drunken-driving death of an 18-year-old Brady man.

David Pederson Jr. died Oct. 25 when the pickup he was driving just west of Maxwell crossed the center line, hit a pole and rolled.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that Pederson's blood-alcohol content was .163 at the time more than twice the legal limit for adults.

Investigators say Pederson had been at a party with other minors in North Platte. To find the people who supplied alcohol for the party, officials agreed not to prosecute anyone for minor in possession.

The four accused are 21-year-old Cameron Sis, 20-year-old Stephen Gigax, 20-year-old Justin Huss and 21-year-old Megan Sheffield, all of North Platte.
