It takes a week for Jeremy and Melissa Vanek to decorate their home at 15055 Meredith Ave. The display runs through New Year's Eve from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. It grows each year, and they now have about 30,000 lights synchronized to music.

The neighborhoods are aglow for the holidays.

Rooftops are outlined in bright lights, the tree trunks and branches sparkle with color, and displays of Santas, snowmen and toy soldiers blink on and off — some even synchronized to music.

You'll find an eyeful in just about any direction.
