NORFOLK, Neb. (AP) Next years Great American Comedy Festival in Norfolk will be held June 16-20.
Organizers say the third annual event begins with the amateur competition, followed by four days of professional competition. The professional winner will be announced June 20. The top prize is $5,000.
The festival was created to honor the late Johnny Carson, the longtime TV talk-show host of The Tonight Show.
Carson was born in Corning, Iowa, in 1925, and he moved with his family to Norfolk when he was 8. He graduated from high school in Norfolk.
