The Saddlebrook branch of the Omaha Public Library will remain closed Monday and today while library officials deal with water damage from a broken fire sprinkler.
Last week, water dripped from the broken sprinkler, leaving standing water throughout much of the library. Some furniture, DVDs and adult fiction books were damaged. Neither the Omaha Public Schools elementary school nor the city recreation center in the same building at 14850 Laurel Ave. was affected.
Mary Griffin, manager of branches for the Omaha Public Library, said officials would likely decide Tuesday when to re-open the libary.
The joint-use facility northwest of 144th and Fort Streets opened this summer.
