Cops: Hotel party ends in rape

A La Vista man was charged with first-degree sexual assault after a 22-year-old woman told police that she had been at a party and awoke to find she was being raped by the suspect.

Jacob J. Bol, 31, of 8102 Elm Dr., is accused of raping the woman Saturday night after she passed out in a hotel room at the Holiday Inn Convention Center on 72nd Street. Bol was charged in court earlier this week.

The woman, a Papillion resident, told police that she did not know Bol, and turned him down when he asked if she wanted sex.

She said she had been drinking at the party, and awoke to find the suspect on top of her, according to the police report. When three of the man's friends entered the hotel room, the woman reported, it appeared they planned to assault her as well. The woman reached for her cell phone and was able to call for help, the report said.

Witnesses told police that the suspect fled the hotel on foot. A short time later, police found him hiding in the basement of an apartment complex near 68th and Spring Streets, according to the report.
