Two arrests have been made in this morning's beating and robbery that ended with a man heaved into the Missouri River.
According to the Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Office and Omaha Police Department:
Members of the Omaha police SWAT team helped arrest Jeremy Gibler, 24, at 3801 N. 23rd St., in Omaha. He was jailed on charges of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree robbery and first degree kidnapping. Gibler's bond has been set at $750,000.
David Maddox, 32, was later arrested at the same location. He has been charged with the same offenses as Gibler and has the same bond.
The man who was tossed into the Missouri, Rodney Koehrsen, 26, was beaten and robbed north of Council Bluffs by two men, whom authorities identified as Gibler and Maddox. Authorities learned of the incident at 2:35 a.m., when an employee of a gas station on North 25th Street reported Koehrsen had come into the store injured.
