Two teens suspected in the sexual assault of a 12-year-old boy at an Omaha group home were charged Thursday afternoon in Douglas County Court.
The pair, ages 15 and 18, were arrested following an assault Sunday night. All three were residents at an Omni Behavioral Health enhanced-treatment group home near 105th Avenue and Grover Street.
The 18-year-old was taken to the Douglas County Correctional Center and the 15-year-old to the Douglas County Youth Center. But both were charged as adults with first-degree sexual assault, according to the Douglas County Attorney’s Office.
The incident is reported to have occurred about 10:30 p.m. Sunday. — Andrew J. Nelson
