Bluffs reopens street

Traffic is once again flowing through Broadway and First Street in Council Bluffs.

Council Bluffs Public Works director Greg Reeder said the street, which was closed between Broadway and East Pierce Street, opened to traffic Wednesday at 1 p.m.

Second Street, which was also closed at the same intersections, opened to traffic Tuesday.

Reeder said First Street should remain open until the next phase of the project begins.

“We may have to place some temporary detours as we finish up, but it is open,” he said.
