Omaha police today identified the victim of a Christmas Eve shooting.
He is Damar Haywood, 24, of Omaha.
Police responded to a call of shots fired about 9:25 p.m. and found a man inside a vehicle with at least one gunshot wound. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
The shooting occurred near Kellom Park. Officers had blocked off Indiana Avenue along the north side of the park.
Within their crime-scene tape were two small sedans, both facing west on Indiana with rear tires on the same curb and both just west of 25th Street.
