Poor road conditions have led to the closing of westbound parts of Interstate 80 between Lincoln and York, the Nebraska State Patrol said.
The Department of Roads has closed the Interstate at the 395 mile marker, near Shoemaker's Truck Station on the west side of Lincoln, until weather conditions improve.
The decision was made after two car accidents occured at the York-Waco interchange about 1:30 p.m.
The Roads Department also will limit through traffic on I-80 because motels and truck stops in York and Grand Island are full, a State Patrol spokeswoman said. -- Joel Fulton
