LINCOLN — Public voting is under way to select the grand champion photograph for this year’s byways geopicting contest sponsored by the Nebraska Travel and Tourism Division.
The annual contest encourages people to explore Nebraska’s historic byways with a camera and hand-held global positioning system device.
Photographs are tagged with precise longitude and latitude coordinates based on the satellite-based navigation system.
The four finalists were selected through online balloting. They are:

ŸBruce Hoye’s image of a sunset over the Platte River, near the Lincoln Highway Scenic & Historic Byway.
ŸHarry Reitz’s image of a Nebraska sunset north of the Heritage Highway.
ŸKen Stanley’s image of a windmill off the Lincoln Highway Scenic & Historic Byway.
