Free workshops to offer tips on applying for block grants

Free workshops on the 2010 Community Development Block Grant application process will be offered in January. Local government officials and their staffs are encouraged to attend.

Nebraska Department of Economic Development staffers will offer the workshops:

Ÿ Jan. 20, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Lifelong Learning Center in Norfolk.

Ÿ Jan. 21, 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Southeast Community College, Continuing Education Center, Lincoln.

Ÿ Jan. 26, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Holiday Inn Express in North Platte.

Ÿ Jan. 27, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. MST, Civic Center, Gering.

To gauge the number of attendees, registration is encouraged by Jan. 8. A lack of registrants may result in a workshop being canceled.
