Learn proper etiquette toward blind people
Jay Stiteley, outreach specialist for the Seeing Eye, and his guide dog, Hagar, will present a program Wednesday to teach respect and etiquette toward people who are blind.
The event, which is open to the public, will help children understand how guide dogs can improve the lives of the blind.
Stiteley's presentation will begin at 10 a.m. at the Omaha Children's Museum, 500 S. 20th St. Museum admission fees will apply.
As part of the demonstration, a “touch tour,” featuring props and costumes from the musical “Little House on the Prairie,” and a portion of the play's script in Braille will be shared with those attending the presentation.
