More than 500 firefighters from six Nebraska counties filled an Elkhorn church to say goodbye to one of their own.
Services were held Tuesday for Omaha Capt. Roger Kruger. He died Dec. 23 in a crash on Interstate 80 near York after the vehicle he was in lost control on icy roads. He was 53.
Kruger worked for the Omaha and Millard fire departments. His career spanned 23 years.
