Longtime Lincoln leader dies

LINCOLN (AP) — Memorial services are set for a former president of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce.

Paul McCue died Saturday in Florida, where he and his wife, Nancy, have lived since 2003. He was 71.

Nancy McCue said her husband had a stroke Dec. 13 and never recovered.

Services will be held Friday in Parrish, Fla. No local services are planned.

McCue served as chamber president from 1996 to 2002.

He also briefly served as the first head of the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development, which supports local economic development efforts.

Before that, he spent 16 years as the general manager of the Journal-Star Printing Co., a publishing company owned by The Lincoln Star and the Lincoln Journal. The two newspapers became the Lincoln Journal Star in 1995.
