9:25 p.m.: The two-for-one scheduling proposal that Nebraska made about a month ago to Boise State hasn't drawn "any positive response" yet from the Broncos, NU Athletic Director Tom Osborne said tonight at the Huskers' basketball game with Iowa State.
Boise State initially wanted to play NU in 2011, but Osborne told our Lee Barfknecht that Nebraska wasn't interested because of games already on the schedule for that season. Osborne told Idaho Sports Talk on KTIK in Boise on Friday that the two-for-one series would be set for a 2015 start.
The Broncos reportedly wanted a certain financial agreement for a one-game arrangement, which they also shopped around to some other big-name schools. It's not clear how the gates would be handled if they came to Lincoln twice and the Huskers traveled to Boise once (most likely in 2016).
Here's what NU has so far for future nonconference opponents:
2015: Southern Mississippi (home) and Miami (away).
2016: Fresno State, Tennessee and Wyoming (all home).
2017: Tennessee (away).
