‘Extreme Makeover’ nominees sought

The producers of ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” are planning to pull up the bus and get out the tools and ladders.

All you have to do is supply the address.

The deadline for nominations is Feb. 17, according to Jacqueline Topacio, casting director for the show.

“We are in search of truly deserving families, people who have amazing strength of character and who have put their own needs aside to help others. Whether it’s a mom, a soldier, a teacher or a fireman, we think anyone who inspires those around them may be a great candidate.”

Of course the show also wants candidates with houses that need major alterations or repair.

To be eligible, a family must own their single family home and be able to show producers how a makeover will make a huge difference. Nominations can be made by interested families or by those who want to nominate another family.

Nominations must include: names and ages of each household member; a description of the major challenges within the home; statement showing why this family is deserving or how it plays a positive role in the community; photos of the family and a photo of the home; and the nominated family’s address and phone number.
