    Former Omaha Tech standout Hare doing OK

    Contrary to rumors heard at Neal Mosser's funeral Saturday, former Omaha Tech standout Fred Hare is alive and doing OK at his Texas home. His agent, former Nebraskan Cord Coslor, told me this morning that he spoke to Hare's care-giver after getting a call from me on Monday and one from Oakland, Calif., last week about Hare. Coslor is working with Hare on an autobiography that took a setback, Coslor said, when many of the files were lost in a computer crash.
