The financially troubled Holy Name School won't close its doors.
The school, an institution in north-central Omaha, sent its families a letter assuring them that Holy Name classrooms will be open in the fall. Formal registration for the upcoming school year is set for March 10.
The school announced recently that it had only weeks to raise $300,000 or close its doors.
In the letter, Holy Name officials say the school has received "an outpouring of support from all over Omaha and from our alumni and friends around the country. The messages have been overwhelmingly positive and in many cases financially very generous."
Officials said they are working with the Archdiocese of Omaha and community leaders to strengthen the school's finances. The school also continues to accept donations.
