Libraries invite teens to try out Ning
Local teens will be tuning in this week at the Omaha Public Library as it celebrates the third annual Teen Tech Week through Saturday.
Teen Tech Week is a national initiative of the Young Adult Library Services Association aimed at ensuring teens are competent and ethical users of technologies, especially those that are offered through libraries.
Teens are encouraged to celebrate the week at Omaha’s libraries by signing up for Ning, an online social network site for special interest groups. Librarians will encourage teens to use Ning and will demonstrate it one-on-one.
