An Omaha man who was carrying a 4 1/2-year-old girl down the street early Monday was arrested on suspicion of kidnapping and third-degree sexual assault.
Police said the 25-year-old man and some friends had stopped at a woman's house near 32nd and Cass Streets around 3 a.m.
The woman woke up around 3:30 a.m. and noticed the 4-year-old no longer was in her bedroom. She called police, who found the man carrying the girl, who wasn't wearing pants, down the street.
Police returned both the man and the girl to the house, and the man was taken into custody.
