ST. LOUIS, Mo. — Megan Neuvirth and Sam Schuett of the Creighton women’s basketball team have been named to the All-Missouri Valley Conference first team as voted on by league media, head coaches and sports information directors.
Neuvirth, also honored on the Valley all-defensive team for the third time, and Schuett become the first pair of Bluejays on the first team together since 2005.
Neuvirth earned her second straight first-team honor and is the first Bluejay to repeat on the first team since Angie Janis in 2005 and 2006.
Schuett has earned her first all-conference honor since being tabbed to the all-freshman team in 2007. The Millard West product leads the Bluejays in 3-pointers (54), 3-point field-goal percentage (.419), free-throw percentage (.851), rebounds (7.5), blocks (36) and double-doubles (six) this season.
