Kansas State (14-17 overall, 5-11 Big 12) advanced to Friday's second round with a 59-51 win over eighth-seeded Texas Tech in Thursday's tournament opener.

Nebraska (29-0, 16-0) knocked off the Wildcats, 71-56, in Lincoln on Jan. 23, and the Huskers completed the season series sweep of KSU with an 82-72 victory on March 6 in Manhattan.
