2:16 p.m.: Nebraska's pro day is in progress at the Hawks Center. It's closed to the news media, so we'll have to wait for some full-fledged updates.
Armando Murillo did poke his head out during a break. The former Husker cornerback, who played his final NU season in 2008, is making another run at making the NFL after a hamstring injury foiled his efforts a year ago.
Murillo said he had a pulled hamstring last March at pro day and tried to run but posted so-so 40-yard dash times. When he got to Tampa Bay, he fully tore the hamstring and was done.
Can't fault the guy for giving it another try. Others testing who played their final season in 2008 are Marlon Lucky, Frantz Hardy, Shukree Barfield and Thomas Lawson.
Murillo acknowledged that the presence of 2009 AP player of the year Ndamukong Suh isn't going to hurt the others testing. In other words, a healthy chunk of NFL scouts are on hand.
"Gold mine,'' Murillo said. "Suh's going to bring 'em in, so might as well take advantage of it."
