If you have 15 minutes: If you're 21 or older stop by Petrow's Restaurant, 5914 Center St., for a "Guinness" ice cream float: Irish cream and Kahlua ice cream dropped into a Guinness-root beer mixture. Information: 551-0552.

If you have half an hour: Brix, a new wine and spirits store at Village Pointe, will have an Irish whiskey tasting from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Taste free samples of Jameson Irish whiskey, Jameson 12 years aged, Jameson Gold Reserve or Jameson 18 years aged. Liquor representatives will be on hand to answer questions. If you have an hour: Get your Irish on. The Ancient Order of Hibernians St. Patrick's Day Parade is 10 a.m. Saturday. Entrants include a group of St. Bernard rescue dogs, a high school cast of “Les Miserables” in costume and an Elkhorn church that is bringing 5,000 pieces of candy. If you have an hour: “There's an Alligator Under My Bed” will be shown this weekend at the Rose Theater, 2001 Farnam St. Showtimes include 7 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. If you have two hours: Check out the ArenaCross at the MidAmerica Center in Council Bluffs this weekend. If you have a night off: Celebrate Motown's 50th anniversary at 9 p.m. Friday at Arthur's Four Seasons, 222 N. 114th St. The 16-piece band WGO Orchestra and some of the area's finest musicians and vocalists — Donna Ball, TammyRa' Jackson, Tiffany White-Welchen, Steve Spurgeon, Stan Spurgeon, Nate Bray and Bill Kearney — will perform 1950s, '60s and '70s songs from the heyday of R&B music. “I'm trying to re-create the magic of the Motown sound,” Stan Spurgeon said. “So many groups stemmed from the Motown era.” Tickets are $10.
