FORT WORTH, Texas — The Nebraska rifle team finished in sixth place with 4,169 points at the NCAA rifle championships Saturday. Janine Dutton led the Huskers with a top-six finish.
NU, in fifth place after the smallbore competition on Friday, scored a 2,324 in air rifle to finish the event in seventh. Dutton led NU with a 590, and then finished sixth in the air rifle finals. Dutton also led the Huskers on day one with a 578 in smallbore, which tied her for 13th.
TCU won the national title with a score of 4,675, followed by Alaska-Fairbanks and West Virginia.
