The Empowerment Network will host a community meeting Saturday morning at the Omaha Public Schools’ TAC building, 32nd and Cuming Streets.
The meeting, which is open to the public, will include presentations on how people can get involved in violence intervention and prevention. It also will include breakout sessions on such topics as jobs, job training and business development; education and youth development; healthy families; arts, culture and media; and urban policy and justice.
The meeting, which includes a continental breakfast, is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the building’s fifth-floor cafeteria. — Bob Glissmann
