5:17 p.m.: Former Nebraska I-back Quentin Castille won't play his senior season at Northwestern State, according to the Alexandria (La.) Town Talk.
The newspaper said Castille intends to enter the NFL supplemental draft, which is held in July. The deadline for underclassmen to declare for the regular NFL draft was in January.
"Quentin worked hard for us while he was here," Northwestern State coach Bradley Dale Peveto told the Town Talk. "We enjoyed having him here. We respect his decision and wish him well in his NFL career."
Castille transferred to the Football Championship Subdivision school last August after being dismissed by NU coach Bo Pelini. The junior ran for just 349 yards and 3.3 per carry, with just one touchdown and four fumbles.
Castille declined to discuss his reasons for leaving the school in Natchitoches, La.
