TUCSON, Ariz. — Senior Tara Oltman threw a one-hitter to lead the Creighton softball team to a 4-1 win over Northern Colorado in the final game of the Wildcat Invitational on Sunday at Hillendbrand Stadium.
Oltman’s complete game was the 104th of her career, setting a Missouri Valley record, and her eight strikeouts made her just the third player in Valley history to surpass 900 in a career (904).
Creighton is now 12-9 on the season, while UNC dropped to 7-16.
Creighton will return home this weekend when it opens Valley play with a noon doubleheader against Indiana State on Saturday.
