LINCOLN — The Nebraska baseball team aims to complete a perfect five-game homestand at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday against South Dakota State at Haymarket Park.
The Huskers (7-7) send sophomore Sean Yost (1-1, 7.18 ERA) to the pitcher’s mound. Yost, a right-hander from Lincoln Southwest, led off Nebraska’s weekend pitching rotation for the first three weeks of the season. He struggled against Fresno State and UCLA and did not pitch last weekend in the NU sweep of Houston Baptist.
Freshman lefty Shane Kraemer (1-0, 2.70) is scheduled to pitch for the Jackrabbits, of the Summit League. SDSU is 8-4 after a winning weekend at the Metrodome tournament in which it beat Harvard and Minnesota and lost to Creighton.
South Dakota State beat nationally ranked Arkansas 3-2 last Tuesday before losing 21-2 to the Razorbacks on Wednesday.
