COUNCIL BLUFFS — The Pottawattamie County Board on Monday unanimously voted to raise taxes for the next fiscal year.
The board voted to levy $31.3 million in taxes compared with $28.4 million last year.
The county's property tax rate for city residents in the county would rise from $7.29 per $1,000 of taxable valuation to $7.40.
The rural service levy fell from $3.18 per $1,000 of taxable valuation to $3.14. County residents' property tax levy will rise from $10.47 to $10.54.
