SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa (AP) — A fisherman has been located after becoming lost in the fog on a lake in northern Iowa.
Officials with the Dickinson County Sheriff's Office say they received a call from the lost fisherman on Saturday evening. The man had walked onto Big Spirit Lake to go fishing. He was found by a cellular locator. But he walked in circles and couldn't see in the fog.
Deputies tried to signal the man. But it was another fisherman driving a SnoBear tracked vehicle who took a deputy out onto the ice and found the stranded fisherman, who was uninjured.
