Culver cheers Iowa women's teams

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) -- Iowa Gov. Chet Culver has offered congratulations to the women's basketball teams from the University of Northern Iowa, Iowa State University and the University of Iowa.

All three teams are headed to the NCAA tournament. In a statement Tuesday, the governor called it a "great year" for Iowa women's basketball.

Culver says the players for the Panthers, Cyclones and Hawkeyes represent "skill and athleticism." He says Iowans everywhere wish the teams all the best.
