LINCOLN — Nebraska senior Kelsey Griffin claimed one of seven spots on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association All-Region 5 team that was announced Wednesday.
The WBCA’s all-region teams consist of 52 players, and the All-America finalists will be trimmed to 40 players on March 23. The 10-player All-America team will be announced April 3.
Other All-Region 5 players were Danielle Adams and Tanisha Smith, Texas A&M; Brittney Griner, Baylor; Alison Lacey, Iowa State; Andrea Riley, Oklahoma State; and Danielle Robinson, Oklahoma.
