LINCOLN — Nebraska’s Connie Yori was named one of four finalists for the Naismith coach of the year award on Wednesday.
Yori, the Big 12 coach of the year, is joined by Connecticut’s Geno Auriemma and Tennessee’s Pat Summitt, who have combined to win 11 of the previous 23 awards. Stanford’s Tara VanDerveer, the 1990 winner, also is on the list.
The Atlanta Tipoff Club will announce the winner in April at the Women’s Final Four in San Antonio.
