12:40 p.m.: This week's National Junior College Athletic Association men's basketball championship holds some interest for Nebraska fans.
Husker recruit Caleb Walker nearly posted a triple-double in Tuesday's first round, 18 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, but his Butler (Kan.) Community College team lost 84-81 to Wallace State (Ala.) CC.
And remember the name Vander Joaquim?
The 6-foot-10 forward from Angola signed a letter of intent with Nebraska a year and a half ago, then went to prep school. Now, Joaquim is a freshman at the College of Eastern Utah, which defeated North Platte (Neb.) CC 71-62 on Tuesday. Joaquim had 14 points.
