A man exposed himself to a 22-year-old Creighton student, grabbed her and tried to assault her in a campus parking lot, but she scared him away with a whistle, Omaha police said.

The incident happened late Tuesday in a parking lot near 24th and Burt Streets. The student declined any medical help.

She told police she was talking on her cell phone and walking to her car when she noticed a man following her. He asked for the time. When she responded, the man exposed himself, grabbed her arm and tried to assault her, police said.

The woman blew the whistle, and he ran away.

Police did not find any suspects in the area early Wednesday. The man was described as white, 30 to 35 years old, with brown hair and a medium build, standing about 5-foot-10 and weighing about 180 pounds. He was clean-shaven, wearing blue jeans and a hoodie with blue and brown horizontal stripes, the woman told authorities.
