A 49-year-old Omaha man who lost his job last week allegedly responded by attacking his boss, according to police.
.

The man was an employee of Conductix-Wampfler, an electrical transmission company, 10102 F St. He was told late in the day Friday that the company was making a change.

According to a police report, this was the man’s response:

He said to his supervisor, "This is what you always wanted to do."

The man pushed a table into the boss and shoved him against a wall.

Then he put his boss in a headlock. The supervisor finally managed to push the man to the ground.

A human resources employee who witnessed the incident fled the room to call 911. The fired worker was escorted out of the building by another person and had left the area by the time police arrived.

The supervisor said he felt his neck "pop" while he was put in a headlock but was not taken to the hospital. No arrests have been made in the case but the supervisor was advised by police on the procedure for filing a warrant for misdemeanor assault.
