2 more pot raids on Lincoln homes

LINCOLN (AP) — Lincoln police have raided two more pot-growing operations, bringing the total to eight this month.

Police served search warrants at two north Lincoln homes on Tuesday, and collected more than 230 marijuana plants.

Police Sgt. William Koepke says the first house police searched Tuesday was connected with six others raided earlier this month. Police did not immediately release details of the second house searched Tuesday.

No arrests were reported in Tuesday’s raids.

Between March 5 and this week, Lincoln police seized more than 4,600 marijuana plants at six houses. Chief Tom Casady says that’s significantly more than the 1,200-plus marijuana plants Lincoln police seized over the past decade at 34 pot-growing operations.
