Terry Branstad is officially on the ballot.
The former Iowa governor, who has announced he wants his old job back, filed nomination papers Tuesday with the Iowa Secretary of State's Office to place his name on the June 8 primary ballot.
Branstad is seeking the Republican nomination, as are businessman Bob Vander Plaats of Sioux City and State Rep. Rob Roberts of Carroll.
According to his campaign, Branstad turned in 9,146 signatures, more than double the required number of 3,412. Signatures were collected in all 99 counties, his campaign said.
