Red Sea? Sprint Center could be heavy with Husker fans

The Sprint Center stands could be heavy in Husker red when Nebraska plays its regional semifinal game Sunday night against Kentucky.

Coach Connie Yori and her NU team are expecting plenty of support. About 3,000 NU fans made the trip for both of the Big 12 tournament games two weeks ago in Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium, providing the Huskers with a crowd advantage each time. One fan's sign dubbed the arena “Devaney Center South.”

“We're expecting a great crowd. Husker fans travel well,” Yori said. “It's a short little drive, so I'm sure we're going to have a lot of folks down there. I hope our fans understand how important they are to us.”

Plenty of tickets are available for the 9 p.m. matchup. It's $48 for an adult all-session pass and $20 for children. Those interested can order by visiting Ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000. Walk-up purchases can be made at the Sprint Center box office.
