Board OKs TD Ameritrade site

TD Ameritrade's new headquarters in Omaha's Old Mill area won the Omaha Planning Board's endorsement Wednesday afternoon.

The Planning Board voted 5-0 to support the company's plans for a 12-story, 230-foot tall office building at 108th Avenue and Farnam Street. TD Ameritrade needs a special permit for the city to accomplish such a large project in the area and for a waiver of the city's building height restrictions.

The plans now go before the City Council.

The headquarters will be part of the company's new corporate campus in the area, affirming TD Ameritrade's commitment to stay in Omaha.
